Pharmacy Technician License Preparation
This class consists of theory and clinical preparation to include knowledge in: medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, practice in various pharmaceutical settings, duties and responsibilities of a pharmacy technician, pharmaceutical terms, abbreviations and symbols, metric and apothecary systems, interpersonal skills for pharmacy technicians, drug requirements, pharmacy calculations, record keeping, drug manufacturing process, completion of 200 hours of clinical training while under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, and preparation for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Exam. At the successful completion of this course, students will quality to register for the California State Pharmacy Technician License. 600 hrs.
