Auto Tech: Engine Performance/2

This competency-based course is one in a sequence of courses designed to meet the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Program Certification Standards set by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).  Emphasis is placed on the techniques in the following areas of engine performance: fuel, air induction, and exhaust systems, emission controls systems, and engine related service. It also offers reviews of engine design, automotive electricity, hybrid vehicles, and alternative fuel vehicles. An introduction to entrepreneurship is also included as well as reviews of resource management, trade mathematics, tools and equipment, service manuals and computer-based information system, and employability skills. 180 hrs
