This competency-based course is the second in a sequence of two designed to introduce automotive systems. Instruction includes an introduction, classroom and workplace policies and procedures, and reviews of resource management, measurements, tools and equipment, and employability skills as well as basic entrepreneurial skills. Emphasis is placed on foreign car engine designs, ignition systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, emission control, major engine operations, and alternative power sources for automobiles. 90 hrs
